Living a Life of Obedience
Lesson 4: Living a Life of Obedience
Key Scriptures: James 1:22; John 14:15, Romans 6:12-14
Teaching Points:
- Faith is not meant to sit quietly in our thoughts—it is meant to move through our lives. It’s easy to say we believe, but real faith shows up in what we do, how we respond, and the choices we make each day. When faith is alive, it produces action.
- Obedience is one of the clearest ways we express our love for God. It’s not about perfection, but about a willing heart that says, “Lord, I trust You more than my own understanding.” Each step of obedience, even the small ones, becomes an act of love and surrender.
- The beautiful truth is that we are not left to do this on our own. God knows our weakness, and He meets us there. Through His Spirit, He gives us the strength, courage, and desire to obey. What He asks of us, He also equips us to do.
- So today, don’t just believe—live it. Take one step of obedience, trusting that God will supply everything you need.
- Prayer:
- Lord, help my faith to be more than words. Teach me to love You through obedience, and strengthen me by Your Spirit to walk in Your ways. Amen.
