1. The Definition of a Disciple
A disciple is more than a believer—he or she is a learner, a follower, and a living reflection of Christ. A disciple doesn’t just know about Jesus but actively follows His teachings, models His character, and obeys His commands.
To be a disciple means:
Surrendering daily to God
Being transformed in thought and action
Living with purpose and obedience
Discipleship is not a one-time decision but a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ.
Reflection Questions
In what areas is God calling me to grow right now?
Am I actively being discipled by someone?
Who can I begin to mentor or encourage in their faith?
Which spiritual discipline do I need to strengthen?
Prayer
Lord, help me to grow in faith and maturity. Shape me into a true disciple who follows You wholeheartedly. Place people in my life to guide me, and give me the courage to invest in others.
