A Devotion on Stewardship and Faithfulness<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMoreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.\u201d \u2014 1 Corinthians 4:2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything we have begins with God and belongs to Him. Our time, abilities, resources, opportunities, and even the breath in our lungs are gifts entrusted to us. We are not owners in the ultimate sense\u2014we are stewards. This simple truth reshapes how we view life. Instead of asking, \u201cWhat do I want to do with what I have?\u201d we begin to ask, \u201cLord, how do You want what You\u2019ve given me to be used?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faithfulness matters more than quantity. In God\u2019s economy, size is never the primary measure of success\u2014obedience is. Jesus made this clear in the parable of the talents. The servant who was praised was not the one who had the most, but the one who was faithful with what he was given. God does not compare us to others; He calls us to be trustworthy with what is in our hands today. A small gift used faithfully honors God more than great ability left unused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of this, God blesses responsible stewardship. Blessing in Scripture is often connected not to possession, but to responsibility. When God sees a heart that handles His gifts with care, humility, and obedience, He entrusts more. That \u201cmore\u201d may not always be material\u2014it may be deeper wisdom, greater influence, or stronger spiritual maturity. But it is always purposeful, never wasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the question is not how much we have, but how faithfully we are using what God has already placed in our care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
