Trusting God While We Wait<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waiting Is Often Part of God’s Plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Waiting can be difficult because we usually want answers, solutions, and results immediately. But Scripture reminds us that God’s timing is not always our timing. Sometimes God allows us to wait because He is accomplishing something that we cannot yet see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waiting does not mean that God has forgotten us. God is still working, even when we cannot see what He is doing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. God Works While We Wait<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When we are waiting for God to answer a prayer or change a situation, it may appear that nothing is happening. Yet God can be working behind the scenes, preparing circumstances, changing hearts, and preparing us for what lies ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph waited many years before seeing God’s purpose fulfilled. During those years, God was preparing Joseph for the responsibility that would eventually come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our waiting is never wasted when we are waiting on God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Patience Develops Faith and Character<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Waiting teaches us to depend upon God rather than demanding our own timing. It develops patience, perseverance, and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 5:3\u20134 reminds us that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance produces character. Difficult seasons can therefore become opportunities for spiritual growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes God changes our circumstances quickly. Other times, He changes us<\/strong> while we wait for the circumstances to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
