His holiness sets Him apart, reminding us that He is not like us. Because He is holy, He is also just. Every wrong is seen, and every sin is judged with righteousness and truth.

Sin is not small in God’s eyes. It is destructive, separating us from Him and leading to spiritual death. God’s hatred for sin flows from His love for what is good and life-giving. He cannot ignore sin, because to do so would deny His own nature.

Yet in His mercy, God made a way. Through Christ, His justice was satisfied. Jesus took the penalty we deserved, bridging the gap between our sin and God’s holiness. At the cross, we see both God’s perfect justice and His incredible love.

Application:

Take time to reflect on God’s holiness. Let it lead you to humble repentance, and then to deep gratitude for the mercy you’ve received through Jesus.

Prayer:

Holy God, I confess that I fall short of Your perfect standard. I am grateful for Your mercy and grace.
