Patience and Waiting on God
Trusting God’s Timing
“God’s timing is perfect, even when we don’t understand it.”
Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of the Christian life. We want answers, movement, and resolution—but God often works on a different timetable than ours. His timing is never late and never early; it is always right. Even when we can’t see what He’s doing, we can trust that He is working behind the scenes for our good.
“Waiting develops endurance and trust.”
Seasons of waiting are not wasted. They shape us. In the waiting, God strengthens our faith, deepens our dependence on Him, and teaches us to trust beyond what we can see. Endurance is built when we continue to believe, pray, and hope—even when nothing seems to be changing.
“Patience is a fruit of the Spirit.”
Patience is not something we simply muster up—it is produced in us by the Holy Spirit. As we stay connected to God, He grows patience within us, enabling us to remain steady and faithful in the waiting. What feels like delay is often God developing something valuable in us.
Today, trust His timing. What you’re waiting for is not outside of His control. Let the waiting draw you closer to Him, not further away.

Lord, help me to trust Your timing, even when I don’t understand it. Grow patience in my heart and teach me to wait with faith and hope. Strengthen my trust in You as I walk through this season. Amen.
