Lesson 31: Handling Money God’s Way

Key Scriptures: Matthew 6:19-21, Luke 16:10-11, Proverbs 3:9-10

Teaching Points:

Title: Faithful with What God Provides

Key Scriptures: Luke 16:10, Matthew 6:21, Proverbs 3:9

Introduction
Money is something we all deal with daily, yet Scripture teaches that it is more than just currency—it is a tool entrusted to us by God. How we handle it reflects our hearts, our priorities, and our trust in Him.

1. Money Is a Tool, Not a Master
God has entrusted us with resources, not for selfish gain alone, but to steward wisely. Money itself is not evil—it is a tool that can be used for good or misused. When we see it as something belonging to God, it changes how we think about earning, saving, and giving.

2. Faithfulness in Small Things
Jesus taught that “whoever is faithful in little is faithful also in much” (Luke 16:10). The way we handle small amounts matters. Being responsible with everyday spending, avoiding waste, and practicing generosity—even in small ways—prepares us for greater responsibility in God’s Kingdom.

3. Your Spending Reveals Your Heart
Matthew 6:21 reminds us, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Our financial choices are like a mirror—they reveal what we truly value. Do we prioritize comfort, status, and possessions, or do we invest in what honors God and impacts eternity?

4. Honor God with Your Finances
Proverbs 3:9 calls us to “honor the Lord with your wealth.” This includes giving, helping others, supporting God’s work, and managing our finances with integrity. Honoring God isn’t just about how much we give, but the heart behind it—trust, gratitude, and obedience.
