Hope and Eternal Life

Lesson 13: Hope and Eternal Life

Key Scriptures: John 14:1-3, Romans 8:18, Revelation 21:1-4
Topics Covered:

  • 1. The Promise of Heaven
Scripture: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…” — Bible (Revelation 21:4)
Heaven is not just a distant idea—it is a promise from God. A real place where pain ends, joy is complete, and we are fully in His presence. When life feels heavy, remembering this promise gives us hope beyond what we can see.
God doesn’t offer temporary relief; He offers eternal restoration. Every hardship we endure now is temporary compared to the forever He has prepared.
    Reflection:
What would change in your outlook today if you truly held onto the reality of heaven?

    2. Living with an Eternal Perspective
Scripture: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen…” — Bible (2 Corinthians 4:18)
It’s easy to get caught up in daily stress, frustrations, and distractions. But as believers, we are called to live with eternity in mind. This means valuing what lasts—faith, love, and obedience—over temporary success or comfort.
An eternal perspective reshapes priorities. It helps us forgive quicker, love deeper, and worry less about things that won’t matter in the end.
    Reflection:
Are your daily choices aligned with what will matter eternally?

    3. Encouragement in Trials
Scripture: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — Bible (John 16:33)
Trials are not meaningless. They are part of the journey—but not the destination. God uses difficulties to strengthen our faith, refine our character, and draw us closer to Him.
You are never alone in your struggle. The same God who promises heaven walks with you through hardship. And because of Him, suffering never has the final word.
    Reflection:
How might God be working through your current challenges?

    Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for the promise of heaven and the hope it brings. Help me to live with eternity in mind, not just for today but for what lasts forever. Strengthen me in trials, reminding me that You are always with me and that my future is secure in You. Amen.
