Worship That Changes Us

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24
Devotional Thought
Worship is far more than singing songs or attending church services. Worship is the response of a heart that recognizes God’s worth and greatness. When we worship, we honor God for who He is—our Creator, Savior, and King. As we focus on Him, our hearts are transformed. Worship not only glorifies God; it also changes us.
True worship is both inward and outward. It begins in the heart with love, reverence, gratitude, and surrender to God. Yet it does not remain hidden. Genuine worship is expressed through words, actions, obedience, service, and praise. What happens within us should be reflected in how we live before God and others.
Worship also shifts our focus away from ourselves and toward God. The world constantly encourages us to think about our own desires, problems, and achievements. Worship reminds us that God is at the center. As we lift our eyes to Him, our worries become smaller, our perspective becomes clearer, and our trust grows stronger. In His presence, we find peace, joy, and renewed purpose.
Today, take time to worship God with both your heart and your actions. As you do, allow Him to shape your thoughts, attitudes, and priorities.
