A Fire That Burns
“Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?” (Proverbs 6:27-28)
God compares sexual sin to carrying fire against your chest. A person may think they can control it, hide it, or enjoy it without consequences, but eventually, the flames spread. Sexual promiscuity often begins with curiosity, leading to broken trust, damaged relationships, guilt, and spiritual distance from God.
The world treats sexual sin lightly, but God warns us because He loves us. His commands are not meant to rob us of joy but to protect us from destruction.
Application: Examine your entertainment, relationships, and thought life. Remove anything that encourages sexual temptation and pursue purity before God.
