The Temporary Pleasure Trap
Moses chose to suffer with God’s people rather than enjoy “the pleasures of sin for a season.”
Sin offers immediate gratification but hides future sorrow. Sexual promiscuity often appeals to the desire for excitement and acceptance. Yet, the pleasure is temporary while the consequences may endure for years.
God offers something better: lasting joy that comes from walking in obedience.
Application: When tempted, ask yourself whether a moment of pleasure is worth the long-term cost.
